What stays refused, and why it is stated

2026-08-19

Fiction covers a great deal, and 2 things sit outside it: anything sexual involving minors, and impersonating a real person in ways that harm them. Both are refused here regardless of framing, of persona, and of any promise about openness elsewhere on the site.

A page that promises an uncensored character and says nothing about limits has left the reader to guess. Guessing produces both wasted attempts and genuine harm, so the limits are written out.

Material involving minors

This is refused absolutely. It is not a filter setting, not a threshold, and not something a persona or a framing changes. Fiction is not an exemption here and neither is any instruction placed earlier in a conversation. This is the clearest line there is, and it is held.

Real people

A character based on a public figure is ordinary satire until it produces something that could be taken as a real statement or as intimate material about a real person. The distinction is whether the output could damage somebody who did not agree to be in your scene.

Why fiction is not a general exemption

Fiction changes how text is read and not what the text is. A convincing set of instructions inside a story is still instructions. This is the reason a framing that starts with imagine you are does not move the line, and it is worth understanding rather than testing.

What is left, which is most of it

Conflict, violence in a story, unpleasant characters, moral ambiguity, strong language, adult themes between adults. The refused list is short and specific precisely so that the rest can be left alone, and a short list held absolutely is a more honest position than a long list applied unevenly.

Before you start

Does a persona change what is refused?

No. A persona changes voice and not permissions, and instructions placed earlier in a conversation do not override the line.

What about a real person who is dead?

Historical figures in a historical scene are ordinary. Intimate or defamatory material about identifiable people stays outside regardless of when they lived.

Why say all this on a site that promises openness?

Because openness with an unstated exception is a promise that breaks at the worst moment. Naming the exception is what makes the rest of the promise usable.
